Tanya Caravelli

Owner & Master Instructor

With over 25 years in health and fitness, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people move, heal, and feel their best. Over the years, I’ve owned several fitness studios and specialized in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Senior Fitness, Women’s Health, and Nutrition. My background also includes writing and authorship, allowing me to share my passion for wellness beyond the studio.

I’ve had the privilege of working closely with doctors and alternative medicine practitioners, blending traditional and holistic approaches to health. After earning my ACSM National Certification and completing my Exercise Physiology studies at California State University, Hayward, I spent several years at The JCC in Marin, where I worked alongside leading professionals in cardiac and stroke rehabilitation. Later, I served as a doctor’s assistant, supporting patients through procedures and witnessing firsthand the incredible power of lifestyle change — seeing blood pressure drop, medications reduced, and diabetes reversed through movement and mindful nutrition remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

In recent years, my journey has naturally expanded toward more mindful and restorative practices. I’ve fallen in love with modalities that connect body, mind, and spirit — earning certifications in Reformer and Mat Pilates, Yoga, Sound Healing, and Breathwork. These practices have deepened my approach to fitness, blending science with stillness, strength with serenity.

Today, I’m honored to share all that I’ve learned — helping others build not just physical resilience, but balance, clarity, and peace in every aspect of their wellness journey.

Kayla Caravelli

Co Owner & Head Instructor

I was a competitive dancer for 12 years, and after a serious injury, I found myself searching for a new outlet — something that felt restorative, healing, and empowering. That’s when I discovered Pilates. I started practicing at 15 and immediately fell in love with how it reconnected me to my body in a whole new way. By 17, while still in high school, I became a certified Pilates instructor and even graduated early to pursue my passion full-time.

Over the past few years, teaching has become so much more than movement — it’s become a way to connect, ground, and heal. I’ve always been deeply sensitive to energy, and that awareness inspired me to expand my practice beyond Pilates. I became certified in Sound Healing and Breathwork, which deepened not only my teaching but also my understanding of how the body, mind, and spirit work together.

Wanting to serve others more holistically, I continued my education with certifications in Yoga, Reformer and Mat Pilates, and Personal Training — blending strength, mindfulness, and restoration into one balanced approach.

I truly believe the body is always communicating with us — the hardest part is slowing down enough to listen. At Studio Luce, my goal is to help guide you back to that inner awareness: finding peace and presence while your body discovers its ideal rhythm for fitness, wellness, and overall health.
